The SSA Network links people with the experience, skills and knowledge required to help the Australian seafood industry identify and realise its sustainable development opportunities. These include people from all sectors of the Australia seafood industry, government, and non-government organisations.
Seafood Services Australia (SSA) facilitates the Network, arranges meetings and provides administrative and communication support. The business and issues considered by the Network are determined by participants taking into account the seafood industrys priority issues and opportunities for sustainable development. SSA seeks the Networks advice and input on initiatives and priorities for sustainable seafood industry development that are within the scope of SSAs activities (for example, market failure issues related to seafood supply chain development, environmental management systems, seafood safety and quality and trade and market access). Who does the Network report to? SSA ensures the Networks advice on particular issues is directed to the relevant industry and government organisations. The Networks open door policy encourages anyone with interests in the seafood industry to attend and participate.
